We are proud to announce the official domain registration of the Assam Knowledge Spectrum: Heritage, Access and Reach (AKSHAR) project - a transformative initiative dedicated to documenting, preserving, and showcasing Assam’s rich public library network. While the domain is now live, the platform will be formally inaugurated on a later date.

Driven by voluntary participation and collaborative contributions from libraries, institutions, and stakeholders across the state, AKSHAR serves as a comprehensive digital profile of Assam’s institutional and grassroots-level library ecosystem. The project covers State, Branch, District, Sub-Divisional, and Rural Libraries, highlighting their unique heritage, accessibility, vital services, and enduring role in promoting lifelong learning.

By breaking down physical and digital barriers, the AKSHAR Project functions as the key to unlocking these knowledge centers, ensuring that Assam's vast cultural and literary heritage remains an accessible public utility for all.

We are excited to announce the merger of AssamArchive.com launched by Dr. Badan Barman way back in 2021 with the AKSHAR Project. This integration unites our digital cultural records with a broader community-driven infrastructure, ensuring our heritage is better preserved and more accessible to all. We remain dedicated to our core mission of Heritage, Access, and Reach as we continue building this shared spectrum of knowledge.
